Our Grand Marshal for the 2010 Parade is Ms. Angela Cruz, local TV star and adoptive mom of a Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter dog!

A special guest for our 2010 parade is the yellow Lab, Raising Cane II.  Thanks to Raising Cane's restaurant for your continued support of the Krewe of PAWS!

For the first time in KREWE of PAWS history we will have goodie bags for the first 150 entries!  Thanks to our wonderful sponsors and hard working parade committee, they will be stuffed FULL of goodies, including a limited edition 2010 parade T-shirt.  Please register early!

Our 2010 Parade KING and QUEEN have been crowned!  PAWS proudly presents Chester the adorable Maltese and Millie the Border Collie mix and former Ouachita Parish Shelter dog.  The raffle winners will ride in the front of the parade in golf carts provided by West Monroe Golf Carts while wearing custom costumes designed by The Costume Shop!  Don't let the opportunity for your pet to be parade royalty pass you by...sign them up for the 2011 Pet Parade King and Queen raffle when parade time rolls around agian!

The costume contests are always a huge hit.  We will award a winner and runner-up for best costume small dog, best costume large dog, best costume non-canine, and best float.  Judging starts at 12pm sharp and you must pay an additional $5 per pet per contest to enter.  Check out the photos from last year to get your creativity going! 

We will have games for humans (ring toss, bean bag toss, go fish, and pick up ducks) and your pet (seek & treat and tricks & treats) starting at 11am.  The prizes are great!  We will also have face painters, food and music! 

The KREWE of PAWS Mardi Gras Pet Parade is truly a family friendly event so come early and enjoy!  Show us your treats!!

Help us advertise; print some posters & entry forms and put them up at your work, church, school, etc.  This is our major fundraiser of the year and ALL proceeds go to PAWS of NE LA and PAWS of NE LA Spay/Neuter Services.
